Magic Stamp - Fun with Matty's Foot

Loreen sent me another fun project to test out and give my opinion to the masses, it's called Magic Stamp and is a piece of foam that can be heated up and takes the impression of anything you want to use to create a stamp. You can use, clothes pins, buttons, crayons, flowers, etc. Really, anything you want to use for your impression.
It all sounded so fascinating that I had to try it out. And what better item to use for my test run, Matty's foot (thank goodness that I did it a few days ago, at 6 months his foot is already so big it took up the entire piece of foam!).

I then outlined his foot with a blue copic that matched the ink I used to help define his foot even better and added a few rub-ons and rain dots to complete the card.

So What Can You Do With Glitter?

Well, you've already seen my cute little glittery brads. And here's the card I made for Kim's PIF Card Challenge adding a touch of glitter just to create some fun shimmer and shine on her trick or treat bucket as well as the circle up top!

So why not create some glittery embellishments?

These two little guys were so easy to create, and you can really make them with any stamps you have. The bear (not sure who makes him, the box just said "Baby Scrapbooking", was colored in with my copics and then using a little glue, I sprinkled some glitter on his tummy. By the way, you can purchase BOTH glitter and copic markers with Loreen here at Wish on a Scrap. The buttony one, that was a little more complicated. The stamp set I used was Autumn Leaves - Sentiments Circles.

Plastic Frames and Glitter Fun

About a year ago, I found someone on ebay selling a case (like hundreds) for clear plastic 4x6 picture frames for really cheap, and I thought... What a great deal!!! I forgot to ask myself what would I do with hundreds of these frames. A year later, and I've barely scratched the surface. However I have been having fun making things with them, and sharing my ideas with you all (such as my post it holders and calendars that you can see in the Altered Art tag on my blog).

So here's another pair of 2009 calendars. I got the template for the calendar itself HERE. I made them using the September Wish on a Scrap kit paper. One of them I used the limeade fibers that were an add-on for the kit and the other I used green glitter that Loreen sent me to mess around with. I have to say, I think I really am enjoying glitter. I really only thought I'd be able to use it for my brad creating, but it's slowly appearing on lots of other things I've been making. You'll have to stay tuned to see where else it's showing up.

Post It Note Key Chains!

Happy Friday Everyone!!! Today I have some post-it note key chains to share with you! These are so much fun to make and are so cute too! Who couldn't use paper right at their finger tips! I know I need paper at the strangest times (which I usually don't have it with me)....not anymore with these cute holders!

I am working on a special project just for the Wish blog so be on the watch for that coming soon!

Fun Note Card Folder Gift Set

These note card folders were so easy and lots of fun to make. I got the tutorial from Katharina's blog. Then I made some little note cards and customized some envelopes to put inside. This would make a wonderful gift for someone!

This was the first folder that I made:
And the swirls just look so darn cute on the back....I just love this paper!!!!!:
And now for the 2nd folder....this paper was so much fun too....it had flocking on it...just gorgeous:
And the inside view...I used my Baroque Motifs stamp set again...the brown ink is Momento in Cocoa, and the blue ink is Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Broken China (which was part of the Sept. Wish Kit)...this was my 1st time using TH Distress Ink and I am HOOKED and just had to get a bunch more of it from Loreen....of course Loreen has all of the colors on her site, so go and check them out!

More Glitter

I don't want you to think that I just use glitter for blinging out my brads. NOOOOO! I want to share two little projects that I used more glitter for... an ATC and an Inchie!

Although you may not be able to see so well, one of those darling brads I used yesterday is on the corner of the Hambly overlay on this inchie. And I also used my blue glitter to create some pop for that flower. Rather then leaving it to be a white cut out, I covered it with some adhesive and poured more glitter all over that bad boy. The results, a beautifully sparkly flower made especially for this ATC. That's right, it's a one of a kind!

And using yet another one of my brads, I decided to go glitsy for an inchie as well. Covering my inchie just like I did with my brads yesterday, I coated it then with a mixed lot of the colors of glitter I had lying around on my table. Use a piece of Hambly overlay and then centered it with my favorite brad of the group yesterday, my green star!
